RESTART MED - Official video of the MED Sustainable Tourism platform

The MED Sustainable Tourism is an initiative to promote Sustainable tourism in all Mediterranean countries.

Developed as a spin-off of CROSSDEV, MEDUSA, MED GAIMS and MED PEARLS projects, the MED Sustainable Tourism platform gathers guidelines and information about various kinds of sustainable tourism, such as Cultural Tourism, Adventure Tourism, Gamification in Tourism, and Slow Tourism. While being very peculiar in their own traits, they all share the same values, from the caring of environment to the wellbeing of local communities.

Water Reuse: Terms and definitions

Appropriate water reuse should be based on the state-of-the-art technology, standards, legislation, and sound knowledge, but also in the use of correct terminology between all users and stakeholders. Several different terms are used to describe forms of water and wastewater and their sub-sequent treatment and reuse, that are used interchangeably to define water reuse globally. This has created confusion among different stakeholders and between different countries. To facilitate communication among different disciplines associated with wastewater, water reclamation and reuse practices, it is important to establish a broad understanding of the terminology used in the field.
In this sense, the aim of this document is to provide an overview of commonly used terms and definitions relating to water reuse, contributing to ensuring the proper use of associated terms.

Geomatics Techniques for Historical Buildings Documentation and Restoration in Northern Jordan

Historical conservation and restoration is an important issue for heritage structures, this
research aims to develop heritage building information model (HBIM) for (Klaib
Basha Saraya) in northern Jordan. In Jordanian Heritage Management, such models
are still regarded a long way from becoming a well-established and widely used
technique. Using terrestrial laser scanning technologies, the project will bridge the gap
between historical documentation and historical building information modeling. HBIM
was created with parametric pieces to reflect the study area's structural, functional,
architectural, and historical aspects.

Gocce di Rugiada – NAWAMED short film

Cinema has always been a powerful medium for communicating messages and ideas to the public. By harnessing the visual and auditory elements, a short film can make a lasting impact on viewers. NAWAMED recognises the potential of this medium to captivate audiences and make them think about the urgency of promoting Nature-based Solutions and the use of Non-Conventional Water Resources. The short film, shot in Italian and subtitled in English, French, Arabic, Spanish, Catalan and Greek, was selected for 20 international film festivals.

Our elders matters: their stories.

The result of an initiative of the European Commission and the University of Seville, it combines stories and illustrations, and is based on real stories of older people like Katerina, from Greece; Manuel, from Spain; Fatema, from Egypt; Hassen, from Tunisia; Sami, from Lebanon, and Alfonsina, from Italy. They have told us about their lives, their current circumstances, how they are and how they are at the moment. And we have narrated and illustrated them through micro-stories.

MedSNAIL Narrative Labels to raise awareness of products linked to local history, tradition and culture.

Narrative labelling is a tool inspired by the strategic instruments developed by Slow Food and ultimately aims to promote a more homogeneous identification between products from a specific area, thus fostering a sense of shared identity and a more direct association between the area and its local products. Each of the MedSNAIL pilot areas has identified local products adapted to and consistent with their natural environment and developed labels that highlight descriptive characteristics associated with their territorial context, historical trajectory and connections with the intangible practices and traditions of local communities.
