Guide for clusters resetting to cross-border cooperation and access to financing tools
The guide aims to give an overview of the collaborative models developed in the framework of the CARISMED project, as well as to identify best practices from each participating city. The structure of the guide includes guidelines for implementing training programs for CCI innovative SMEs, clusters resetting for internal cooperation and external cross-border cooperation best practices.
The training programs in each participating cities have been developed basing on the research activities carried out within WP4. This section of the Guide summarizes this experience
according to the SMEs specific needs in terms of training: Tailor-made programs, based on a solid need analysis, local-based, as each CCI fabric has its specificities, experiential learning approach, and concise programs.
Toolkit/Advisory guide of Urban Policy for Med-cities
The toolkit / advisory guide will support and effectively help all interested parties:
- To get familiar with the CE concept and contemporary practices that manage to combine the sustainability principles with Creativity, focusing on a more eco-friendly and innovative economy;
- To get familiar with innovative methods and techniques that gradually create the very dynamic field of the upcycling productivity
- To be more aware of the LCARs methodology.
It is suited for the resetting of the built environment both in the business content and in the building shell.

Euro-Mediterranean Open Innovation Network Handbook development
The experience and the feedback gained from these workshops will be integrated into a “EuroMED Open Innovation Network Handbook” which will be offered to policy makers, intermediaries, and agencies in EU & MPC countries. Correction measures and actions will be integrated for fine-tuning, guiding, or even shifting (if necessary) the delivery mechanism or the nature of services offered addressed. Feasibility and financial sustainability planning including roadmap for post project activities.
INNOMED-UP Model for the Mediterranean
This document is the final version of the Guide for circularity strategy for Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs) and Small and Medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Mediterranean (INNOMED-UP model) as drafted and published in the framework of the INNOMED-UP Project.
INNOMED-UP aspires to collaborate with CCIs to shift local urban economies towards a circular production and consumption paradigm including optimal use of material resources, innovation enhancement for SMEs, knowledge transfer among Mediterranean cities, social inclusion, and citizens’ engagement.
This handbook aims to provide an overview of the state of the art in upcycling practices at the urban level, with a particular focus on the practices implemented by Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs) and the results achieved.
Roadmap for Operational uptake of EMPHASIS
A roadmap consolidating recommendations and methodologies for Open Innovation in a modular toolbox for the Euromed area. This task will support the uptake of the EMPHASIS approach, services and operational environment through a hands-on EUROMED wide Deployment plan. Based on the OI Network Handbook, the consortium will propose different business scenarios, strategic alliance building with similar and/or complementary initiatives and will deliver a set of proposals for capitalization from operators.
EMPHASIS Open call document
Design and launch of an open call where lean templates for submitting needs and offers will be developed and integrated in the online platform. The call will set several evaluation criteria (including TRL and MRL) and will secure a transparent, open and fair procedure for all beneficiaries. Incorporation of necessary legal and GDPR policy procedures will be considered. We anticipate reaching at least 80 SMEs' offers and needs from targets interested in engaging with EMPHASIS OI Network.
