FISH MED NET organized a national training on public-private partnerships in Tunisia in the fisheries sector
National training on Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) was organized by the Association Tunisienne pour le Développement de la Pêche Artisanale. This training brought together representatives from the public sector (regional and local administration, ministry…) as well as from the private sector (NGOs, professional organizations…). Participants got a clear framing of PPP on Small-Scale Fisheries sector and aquaculture in Tunisia and learnt more about the standards packages developed under FISH MED NET.

The Association Tunisienne pour le Développement de la Pêche Artisanale organized its 3rd round table about Public-Private Partnerships for the improvement of Small-Scale Fisheries and Aquaculture. This event was an occasion to discuss possible partnerships that can be concluded between public administrations and sea-workers, fishermen, for the development fishery sector under FISH MED NET project.

More beneficiaries from Jordan are proving the positive impact of INNOMED-UP provided technical and financial support.
Ayman is one of these beneficiaries who managed to open a shop called “Khashabati”; My Woods to produce and exhibit products made out of wood waste; and fountains made out of clothes and cements. Moreover, he employed university students to support them and offered the other beneficiaries to exhibit their products in his shop.

MedSNAIL in Tunisia: Jardkaa, a local unleavened bread
Jardkaa is an unleavened bread. Traditionally, it is prepared with barley flour, salt and water. It has a brown color, characterized by a thickness of a few millimeters (3-4 mm) and a stiff texture. It is usually eaten with fish soup or “mselli ” a kind of dried meat grilled in oil. It has been included in the Slow Food’s Ark of Taste.
