Serena, InnovAgroWoMed beneficiary: "My project is branded Kharrua which was a currency in Syracus & I like the idea of barter as a method of circular economy."

"I grew up in Syracuse and Trapani, and in these two places, I started falling in love with the countryside. My dream business is Kharrua Natura Lab: a place where people can stay together, and the carob tree has a fundamental role. We will offer hospitality services in tree houses, where artists and educational experts can meet. I want to help people live environmental education experiences to promote a growing ecological awareness", Serena, AgriFooder,  InnovAgroWoMed beneficiary from Italy and an environmental education specialist with a dream: make her favourite place an innovative natural hub, combining sustainable hospitality services and environmental education workshops.

CESIE, partner of the project in Italy, collects in the framework of its "rewrite your story" ("Riscrivi la tua storia") campaign some testimonies of the participants in the training and coaching programme of the InnovAgroWoMed project.

Environmental sustainability, women's empowerment and enhancement of the agri-food sector can be the real drivers of development in the Euro-Mediterranean area.

InnovAgroWoMed takes up this challenge and carries out actions aimed at strengthening women’s employment and the ability to do business in the agri-food sector.

Follow AgriFooder on our project facebook page and youtube channel, every Friday, stories of women working in the entrepreneurial field are available, gathered from training courses for aspiring businesswomen and told by professionals in the agri-food sector.
