On January 9th and 10th, the iHERITAGE project team launched off 2022 with a one-of-a-kind exhibition shown at the Italian Pavilion of the world's greatest cultural gathering, EXPO 2020 DUBAI. The project was named the region's most innovative initiative for the enhancement of cultural heritage and hand selected to represent Sicily at the Italian Pavilion. The exhibition focused on the project's new immersive technologies (augmented reality, virtual reality, and mixed reality), which will allow visitors to interact in novel ways with the tangible and intangible UNESCO cultural heritage of the Mediterranean countries of Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Spain, Portugal, and Italy.
