The municipality of Bizerte is located in the north of Tunisia, on the southern shore of the Mediterranean Sea, which has made its location extremely strategic.
It covers an area of 47,000 hectares with roughly 167,756 inhabitants.
The lake of Bizerte, the island of Jalta, rich in the beauty of its landscapes and its fish reserves, the most northern point of Africa, constitute the greatest natural specificities of Bizerte.
The important specificities of the city of Bizerte are the old ancient port and the mobile bridge which provides traffic between the two banks of the Bizerte Canal.
