Meet the faces behind TECHLOG

Meet Dr. Sarah El Gamal, TECHLOG project Communication Manager of Egyptian project partner, the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport.

Dr. Sarah is an Assistant Professor in E-Business and the Head of Logistics and Supply Chain Management Department - College of International Transport and Logistics. She started her professional career in 2004 as a graduate teaching assistant in the Productivity and Quality Institute (PQI) after her graduation from the Faculty of Engineering - Electronics and Communication Department and joined the Master Program of Total Quality Management where she graduated in 2006.

In 2009, she joined the University of Northumbria - UK to continue further investigations in the field of Learning Management Systems as a PhD candidate, where she earned her PhD degree in 2014. Since then, she been specialized in the teaching and design of masters and diploma courses specialized in the field of Management Information Systems at the PQI, besides tutoring in various quality management training course (ISO 9001, 14001, 18001 & 27001) as a certified tutor from International Register for Certified Auditors (IRCA).

In 2014, she joined the College of International Transport & Logistics (CITL) as a full-time lecturer. Then, held the position of the Head of Quality Assurance from 2018 to 2020, where she was in charge of national and international accreditation files as ISO 9001, NAQAAE and AACSB.

Dr. Sarah works tirelessly among her team to encourage the growth of logistics in Egypt, notably in the Alexandria region, as well as the professionalization of logistics activities through training activities. As Communication Officer of the TECHLOG project, she has largely contributed to the dissemination and promotional efforts made to bring the message of the project across to the Mediterranean world!
