An illustrative, intuitive and easy to understand Procurement Trends Guide that will help SMEs and companies from the Mediterranean basin access public procurement has been prepared by the SME4SMARTCITIES consortium.

This straight-to-the-point guide describes current trends of general, innovation and green procurement as well as public procurement channels. In the guide you will also find information on how to access public procurement in EU and Mediterranean countries, with a focus on Italy, Spain and Israel, the participating countries in the SME4SMARTCITIES project.

The example cities, NGO organizations, events and exhibitions from the guide promote urban innovation, smart city practices, SMEs and start-ups.

The purpose of this guide is to promote smart innovation and sustainability in the Mediterranean cities and to help small and medium-sized companies to engage with innovative and green procurement.

In order to complement the information provided in the whole guide a list of references has been prepared, list that can be found at the end of the document. This reference list is also a fantastic support material for any parties interested in procurement.
