BERLIN activities adding value to our goal towards cost-effective rehabilitation of public buildings and smart-city transformation


Eilat Municipality participated at the 2021 CTalk Conference on the 22nd of June. CTalk served as a platform for leaders and decision-makers from public and private sectors to share insights and exchange ideas. In 2021, the discussions were focused on “How Innovations Lead the Way in Building Smarter Cities?”.

Mr. Elad Topel, Smart City Coordinator of Eilat city, presented the vision of the Municipality, which is to be transformed into a smart city, depending 100% on renewable energy. In this framework, he has presented BERLIN project which aims to implement cross-border pilot measures to support innovative and cost-effective energy rehabilitations in public buildings based on the nano-grid concept, the building block for smart micro-grids. The goal is to reach high levels of self-resilience in public buildings and to make them greener, smarter, more innovative and sustainable.
