BERLIN: Interested tenderers visit the smart nanogrid pilot site in Cyprus

The lead partner of the BERLIN project, the University of Cyprus, announced in December 2021 the tender for the supply and installation of a smart nanogrid at its premises. Interested parties to submit an offer, were given the opportunity to visit the pilot site on two occasions: (i) 22 December 2021 and (ii) 11 January 2022. A third visit is scheduled for Tuesday 18 January 2022 at 11:30-12:30 (CY Time).

The nanogrid that will be implemented at the facilities of FOSS Research Centre for Sustainable Energy, University of Cyprus aims to transform the Photovoltaic Technology Lab into a living lab, where the energy consumption will be fulfilled by the energy production from photovoltaics and the stored energy from the battery energy storage system. The target is to reduce to a minimum the energy consumption costs of the lab and to nullify its CO2 footprint.

The deadline to submit an offer has been extended to 15 February 2022.
