We are pleased to announce that our colleagues from the University of Naples Federico II in Italy, in collaboration with the Democritus University of Thrace, Greece, the University of Jordan, the Centre of Biotechnology of Sfax in Tunisia and the CSIC (Consejo Superior de Investigaciones científica in Spain), published an interesting article about the potential of Biochemical methane from the wholesale markets in the Anaerobic digestion production as a waste management process. The article is the outcome of experiments conducted over 3 different seasons in two fruit and vegetables markets: one in Sfax, Tunisia and the other one in Amman, Jordan.

This work carried out thanks to the CEOMED project opens the door to a new strategy in waste management, energy, and fertiliser.
