CLUSTER in Catalonia launches its free training courses in Sustainable Economy sectors targeting unemployed youth and women!

New training opportunities in four Sustainable Economy sectors and Soft Employment Skills in Catalonia, Spain !

Are you a young person between 18 and 30 years of age or a woman living in Catalonia? Are you currently Not in Employment, Education or Training (NEET)?

CLUSTER’s free training programme in Catalonia managed by the IEMed, Lead Beneficiary of CLUSTER, consists of the following 3 phases listed in chronological order:

1st phase: Online courses

These courses are offered through CLUSTER's E-Learning Platform and are open for at least 250 NEETs based in Catalonia. They consist of 5 modules:

  • Beginner level of the 4 sector modules including basic notions of Soft Employment Skills training:
    • Aquaponics;
    • Hydroponics;
    • Organic Farming;
    • Sustainable Food Processing;
  • Advanced level of the Soft Employment Skills module. 

Applicants can enrol in at least 1 of the 5 online modules. Each of the 5 modules is asynchronous and self-paced. The expected number of hours of completion of each of the 5 modules is 36 hours.

 

2nd phase: Onsite training on Organic Farming

Out of the online trainees who successfully complete the basic level of this same sector module, the best 20 will be selected through an Open Call to be enrolled in the onsite training. This training will last for 25 hours during the week of 15 May 2023 and be held at the premises of the IEMed in addition to field visits to enterprises operating in Organic Farming in Catalonia. The training will include sessions on Corporate Social Responsibility.

 

3rd phase: Paid internships

These internships will be remunerated through a sub-granting scheme and will last for up to 3 months. They will be offered to the best 10 onsite trainees through an Open Call. These 10 interns will apply their knowledge and skills gained in enterprises operating in Organic Farming in Catalonia. These internships will be held during May-July 2023.

 

We remind you that the CLUSTER training programme is reserved for people who live in Catalonia and who meet the following requirements:

  • Young people currently not in employment, study or training, aged between 18 and 30;
  • Women currently not in employment, study or training, with no age limit.
