The CLUSTER project has published its Policy Report on the Green Economy transition to reverse Youth Marginalization and Ecological Degradation in the Mediterranean. The conclusions of the report highlight the following identified measures and actions to the inclusion and empowerment of youth in Mediterranean Green Economy (GE) models:

• Cross-sectorial and cross-vertical approach which applies to brave policy decisions.
• Governments should expand career guidance – introduced at an early age, at all levels and across all types of education.
• Coordination among public agencies serving youth.
• Education and training by revising curricula.
• Apart from training, facilitate access to finance, provide mentorship support with gender-conscious approaches.
• Make employment schemes and initiatives more effective through clarifications, manuals…
• Improving the capacities of the employment in terms of management
• Young people should be part of decision-making, and policies should be more people centred.
• Promote youth protagonism at all levels in private and public organisations.
• Raise awareness of the benefits and the existing instruments and programmes of the GE
• Shift labour demand towards green models.
• Design and targeting of youth transition from school to work.

All of these measures need to be accompanied by putting an end to greenwashing practices, cultivating young people’s social capital, and introducing the 4^th pillar of sustainable development.
