On January 18, 2023, a collaboration agreement was signed between Prof. Fahmi Abu Al-Rub from the Jordan University of Science and Technology, coordinator of the EMPHASIS Project in Jordan, and Eng. Maha Alaqraa, the Director of International Cooperation at the National Center for Research and Development and the Jordan coordinator of the ENI CBC MED PPI4MED Project.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aims to establish a strong liaison between these two projects, in terms of bilaterally implementing the agreed actions. This includes creating a collaborative effort within the projects on dissemination or communication events and announcing relevant news on websites and newsletters. Additionally, the MoU aims to invite suitable representatives to participate in events organized by each party. The goal of the collaboration is to explore opportunities and synergies with the projects to create an event together and exchange of information that contributes to the improvement, dissemination, and continuation of the project's results. This includes research, scientific studies, and other relevant information that can help to further the progress of the projects.

Synergies between different projects and initiatives are crucial for the success of the ENI CBC MED program. By working together, different projects can achieve more than they would individually, and the exchange of information and resources can help to improve the overall outcomes. Collaborations between projects can also help create a more sustainable and efficient use of resources, as well as a more comprehensive and cohesive approach to addressing the challenges and opportunities of the Euro-Mediterranean region. The collaboration between EMPHASIS and PPI4MED is an example of how synergies can be achieved and how they can contribute to the success of the ENI CBC MED program. The collaboration will create an opportunity for the exchange of information, resources, and best practices that will help to improve the overall outcomes and make a positive impact on the region.
