The COMMON project will take part in "synergies for Blue Economy in the Mediterranean" event organized by ENI CBC Med
Blue Economy is the focus of the event to be held in Rome on the 4th of October (from 9.30 am to 1.30 pm) and organised by Regione Lazio, vice-president of the National Committee for the ENI CBC MED Programme, within the framework of the “Complementary Operational Program for the National Governance of European Territorial Cooperation Programmes 2014-2020” (PAC ETC).
Over the day, panels of scientists and academics will highlight issues related to the increasingly worrying effects of climate change, the current environmental emergency, and the importance of biodiversity protection and ecological transition to strengthen resilience and sustainability across the Mediterranean.
Particular attention will be given to the blue economy and marine ecosystems sectors, which will be analyzed at various levels concerning the development of a sustainable economy and through the thematic priorities of the ENI CBC MED Programme.
COMMON, (Coastal management and monitoring network for tackling marine litter in the Mediterranean Sea) beneficiary of the ENI CBC MED Programme, as a cross-border project engaged in the sustainable management of waste to prevent marine litter, is participating enthusiastically thanks to Stefania Di Vito!
The event is organized in collaboration with the Apulia Region, ENI CBC MED's National Contact Point and co-President of the National Committee.
