200+ students and volunteers will join forces on January 18th, 2022 in Palestine for a clean-up campaign organised by Palestinian Heritage Trail, local partner of the CROSSDEV project.

The campaign will take place along the newly developed hiking trail in the villages between Beit Mirsim and Battir and is part of a long commitment of the project to enhance environmental sustainability, promotion of eco-tourism, and engagement with volunteers and students, who are encouraged to take part in their own local community’s development activities.

The clean-up campaign aims to increase youth’s awareness on the concept of social responsibility towards heritage, civilisation and environment preservation and protection, and to strengthen the bonds among the tourism stakeholders in the communities involved in the project.

The campaign is organised by Palestinian Heritage Trail in cooperation with The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the Ministry of Education, the Environmental Quality Authority, and many tourism stakeholders from the 16 communities involved in CROSSDEV.

When: 18 January 2022, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Where: the old city of Jaba’, the tourism area of Wad Fokeen, the trail between Husan and Battir, the old city of Battir
