CROSSDEV takes part in PADI Women’s Dive Day 2020
Under the patronage of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), Sea Breeze Dive Club – Shwikini Tourism Investment Group with the support of the Royal Marine Conservation Society of Jordan (JREDS) and Ayla Oasis Project will organize the PADI Women’s Dive Day 2020 on July 20th.
This event began in 2015. Divers around the globe have celebrated PADI® Women’s Dive Day on the third Saturday of July – a day focused on shared adventure, community, passion and ocean conservation.
With the overwhelming support of the dive community over the last five years, PADI Women’s Dive Day has grown into a worldwide celebration that brings everyone together – not just women – to foster a global community that encourages divers of all genders, ages and experience levels to safely and confidently explore and protect the underwater world. Every year, thousands of divers join hundreds of events across the globe.
This event will be the first in Jordan for female divers and non-divers too. Also, with kids above 10 years old can joining.
Finally, some sites at Aqaba is still marked as a less-known tourist destination. Their natural, architectural and historical beauties remain a hidden gem when compared to other more famous destinations in Jordan, such as Amman or Petra. That is why the CROSSDEV project, thanks to its partner JREDS, has included Aqaba and its coastal wonders in its activities. The project aims at increasing attractiveness of lesser-known destinations through the promotion of local assets and the consequent expansion of local businesses and economy.
