CROSSDEV: Test tour with tour operators in Umm Qais, Jordan
CROSSDEV team in Umm Qais (Northern Jordan) - lead by project partner Jordan University for Science and Technology - will hold a series of three Test Tours on Saturdays, March 27th, and April 3rd and 10th.
The tours will be attended by around 30/40 nationally renowned tour operators to visit Umm Qais experimenting the three kinds of tours the project has developed so far. The first group, on March 27, will do the HIKING TOUR passing through Al Hraith Trail starting from the Yarmouk Reserve; the second group on April 3 will do the BIKING TOUR, and the third group, on April 10, will do the HERITAGE TRAIL. All tours will also get the chance to visit local handcrafts shops and Roses House.
Goal of the visit is not simply to test the tours, but to encourage networking among tour operators with services suppliers in Umm Qais and to give both sides (demand and supply) the chance to know about each other and increase the visibility of small businesses including accommodation and food providers.
All Coronavirus health and safety recommendations will be taken into account in terms of social distance, such as buses at 50% of capacity, individual meals for everyone, masks.
Visitors will be provided with a brochure about the project and informed about the whole project.
