Some members of the DECOST team participated in the first meeting organised by Med4Waste, a new ENICBCMED project that will work in the coming years on the capitalisation of the results obtained by the waste management projects previously funded by this cooperation programme.

The meeting brought together representatives of the DECOST, REUSEMED, MED-InA, CLIMA and CEOMED projects, which was a great opportunity to learn first-hand about the state of implementation of all of them, and to share experiences and common challenges.

Med4Waste, coordinated by the BETA Technology Centre, has a partnership composed of 7 organisations from 6 Mediterranean countries and reinforced by 3 groups of partners and collaborators from all over the Mediterranean basin. The activity of this project is very relevant for the DECOST results, as it will be of great help to disseminate and exploit the project knowledge developed on community composting integrated in the waste management strategy of small Mediterranean towns, creating at the same time synergies with the results obtained by the other projects.
