NAWAMED participates at EGREEN final event

The University of Jordan (UJ) is organizing the final conference of EGREEN project - Development Of Environmental Engineering Courses And Injection Of Climate Change Concept For Undergraduate Curriculum - under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Saleh Al-Kharabsheh, Minister of Environment of Jordan. The conference will take place at the University of Jordan, on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at 10:00 AM.

According to Prof. Ahmed Al-Salaymeh, the coordinator of EGREEN project, the conference is dedicated to raising the awareness on environmental issues and climate change within the community.

A keynote speech on "Nature-Based Solutions for Domestic Water Reuse" will be delivered by Prof. Abbas Al-Omari, member of the NAWAMED project team at UJ.

In addition, Dr. Esmat Al Karadsheh the Coordinator of the Eastern Mediterranean Branch Office in Aqaba was invited to deliver a keynote speech on how ENI CBC MED Programme is helping to achive more Sustainable Mediterranean Area.

EGREEN project is funded by European Union within the Erasmus+ programe, and it aims to develop environmental engineering courses and introduce the concept of climate change in the undergraduate curriculum in Jordan and Syria, as well as to enhance the cooperation between academic institutions and other institutions.
