On the 14^th of July 2022, the Tunisian partner of FISH MED NET, the Association Tunisienne pour le Développement de la Pêche Artisanale hosted the partners in Tunisia, at the occasion of the 6th Project Management Board of FISH MED NET. During the meeting partners defined all together the request for an extension  and a new strategy for a better management and sustainable implementation of the activities of the project.

Beside the discussion and definition of a new action plan, partners had the opportunity to experience pescatourism in the Bizerte Lagoon.

We would like to thank the Tunisian partner for organizing the whole event. In particular thanks to the Boukoum family who hosted the participants in their shellfish farm, Sté Biomarine, to present their activity and a tasting session. The pescatourism activity highlights its benefits and the richness of their products, as mussels, oysters, shrimps and cuttlefish. As participants said “We cannot wait to see this activity officially authorized in Tunisia, so that we can again live this experience".

The partners are grateful for the wonderful hospitality of the Tunisian partner and are looking forward to meet again all together in the Apulia Region in Italy for the future activities.
