About GRADE A+

GRADE A+ is a start-up working to upcycle sheep wool blankets after discovering their unique features: breathable, soft, elastic, and hypoallergenic. Unlike traditional blankets, upcycled wool blankets can be cleaned in a washing machine, are fire resistant, heatproof, and can control humidity. The team’s successful experiments have led them to produce the insulation rolls used in construction. 

GIMED's support

GRADE A+ mentionned that the most valuable skill learned in this program is : eco-design. Through Berytech, the start-up also received support in the form of training and coaching sessions on finances, forecasting and management. This lead the start-up to conduct a financial study which helped them to quickly identify the breakeven point and overcome it.

About the project

GIMED is a cross-border project that aims at boosting the development of eco-innovative ventures in order to create employment and drive the green and circular economy in the Mediterranean. GIMED is financed by the ENI CBC Med programme. This Programme brings together the coastal territories of 14 EU and partner countries in view of fostering fair, equitable and sustainable development on both sides of the EU’s external borders.
