iHERITAGE Living Labs to uncover the interpretation of World Heritage in Andalusia in the 21st century

The Living Lab The interpretation of World Heritage in Andalusia in the 21st century.Advanced technological solutions in the world today is organized by the Andalusian Public Foundation El legado andalusí (Andalusian Regional Ministry of the Presidency, Public Administration and Interior of the Andalusian Regional Government) with the co-funding of the European Union through the ENI CBC MED Programme (iHERITAGE project: UNESCO's Mediterranean Platform for Cultural Heritage). The course, designed by the Descubre Foundation, is coordinated by the Andalusian Public Foundation El legado andalusí, the Descubre Foundation with the collaboration of the Scientific Culture Unit of the University of Granada.

The course will be held between the 1st of March and 10th of May 2022! There will be up to 45 available spots which will be allocated in order of registration. The total number of hours covered by the course will be 75, with 15 hours held face-to-face and non-mandatory. In order to obtain the Living Labs certificate of achievement, it is necessary to participate in 75% of the programmed virtual sessions, either in real time or deferred. The Living Labs Program, that will be structured in four modules: 

Module 1: Project partners in Spain, El legado andalusí Foundation, will hold an informative introduction to the iHERITAGE project including its objectives, expected achievements and main outputs as well as a detailed presentation of the upcoming Living Labs modules including topics, keynote speakers, and tangible and intangible results.

Module 2: The second module will propose  a tour through the technologies and tools for the communication of heritage, where 3D-printing, laser cutting for digital manufacturing, immersive reality, edition of exhibitions and virtual routes, photography in 360º, spherical videos, the interactive tool MonuMai to apply to the monuments visited and augmented reality will be disclosed. 

Module 3: will be devoted to innovative strategies for the communication of scientific and technological culture. It will approach us to the tool SmartCity, the marketing of services and strategies, digital marketing of scientific and technological cultural products, digital communication and social media, holography and virtual reconstruction of monuments, start-ups and scientific tourism. 

Module 4: Finally, module 4 will include the mathematical walks, both virtual and on-site through Granada, Seville and Córdoba, where world heritage elements like the Alhambra of Granada, the Mosque and Synagogue of Córdoba, the Giralda, Real Alcázar and Torre del Oro in Seville will be disclosed from the mathematical and scientific point of view.

The registration period will be open from the 14th February to the 15th April 2022.
