The MedBEESinessHubs project is training existing and potential beekeepers as well as bee-products processors in Cyprus on entrepreneurship and innovation.

Based on the findings of the “Regional Study on the economic value of networking around the honeybee products – the case of Cyprus”, recently conducted within the framework of the project, beekeepers but also processors of other bee-products need to improve their skills in:

  • entrepreneurship,
  • financial management,
  • marketing
  • innovation and
  • identification of funding opportunities

The training workshop capitalises on previous work undertaken in the framework of the project EDILE - Economic Development through Inclusive Local Empowerment (funded by the program ENI CBCMED 2007-2013). In specific, the output ‘Auto-assessment tool for sustainability of investment projects’ has been incorporated as a specific module of the training material, aiming to prepare the participating micro-SMEs in sustainable decision-making procedures.

Training will be conducted in Greek, in physical presence as well as online as follows:

  • Tuesday 25/10/2022, 13:00-19:00 hrs, Larnaca Environmental Information Centre (Skarinou)
  • Tuesday 8/11/2022, 16:00-19:00 hrs, online
  • Friday 11/11/2022, 16:00-19:00 hrs, online

It is emphasized that training participants will receive preferential treatment (through credits) in the sub-grants to be offered within the framework of the MedBEESinessHubs project in the next three months.
