The Chamber of Achaia is publishing the results of the call for proposals of INTECMED, in which 20 innovative business ideas from entrepreneurs and innovators from the Western Greece region, have been received. The Achaia Prefecture has been the province with the most participation (19), followed by Aitolia&Akarnania Prefecture (1). Regarding sectors, most proposals address issues related to e-health, environment, e-commerce, agriculture, and ICTs. 

After the evaluation process, which will be followed by the Evaluation Committee established in Western Greece Region by representatives of the Chamber of Achaia-University of Patras and Patras IQ, 12 entrepreneurs will be selected to participate in a mentoring and support programme for the commercialization of research results. In addition, the 3 best proposals at the end of the programme will receive between €10,000 and €30,000 to develop their business plan.

The mentoring programme will provide a set of services and tools aimed at strengthening the skills and competencies of the participants to move from the innovative idea to the business.
