INTERNISA partner in Palestine, ActionAid Palestine (AAP), launched an offline spot in partnership with the Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) at its facilities on 15-2-2023. The opening ceremony took place in the presence of Bethlehem governorate, the head of BCCI, and the head of programs in AAP, in addition to representatives of relevant organizations and media. This offline spot is part of the activities of INTERNISA project- a network of synergies to increase the number of digitally skilled women employed in the Mediterranean region via matching demand and supply in the labour market. This project is being implemented in Greece, Jordan, Spain, Tunisia, Lebanon, Palestine and Italy.

The offline spot is a specialized space equipped with digital tools and equipment at BCCI facilities that aims to engage women, businesses and public stakeholders. Both women and business people will be able to use the equipment to acquire knowledge about existing technologies and learn how to search and gather information. Users of this offline spot will be able to draft their resumes (CVs), learn how to use INTERNISA job platforms, and search for a job or post job offers. The offline spot will operate, in this case, as the space connecting users to the digital world which is growing constantly. These services will help develop personal skills through interpersonal interaction.

Users will also be able to receive training on digital tools and apps that will help further improve their access to information regarding employment in the sectors of their interest. In addition, it will help match demand and supply in the labour market. People lacking Internet services or having low internet skills can visit the offline spot to gather information, acquire skills, receive training on professional guidance and interact with their peers searching for job opportunities. It is worth mentioning that an agreement with BCCI was signed about three months ago to establish this offline spot.
