Under the INVESTMED project which aims to support entrepeneurs in the Mediterranean in the green economy, blue economy, and cultural and creative industries, partner LUMSA is carrying out coaching and mentoring sessions in Egypt, Lebanon and Tunisia. The coaching & mentoring is a condensed program to accelerate entrepreneurs' growth, fine-tune their documentation and investment readiness. With a mix of plenary sessions and office hours, each innovator will go undergo more than 10 hours of customized training. Together, they will discuss the local and international barriers to their business, describe how to amplify the impact, challenge their strategies for the long term and mingle with other like-minded innovators from Egypt, Lebanon and Tunisia.

The coaching & mentoring will be deployed in four batches with a total of 21 business ideas. Finally, participants will work on preparing the pitch documentation to present their businesses to potential investors and partners that will be shared with the INVESTMED network.

The first cycle started on the 18th January with 3 entrepreneurs and will continue for around 6 weeks into February. 

The INVESTMED project is co-funded by the European Union under the ENI CBC Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme 2014-2020. INVESTMED has a duration of 30 months, with a total budget of 3.8 million euros, of which 3.4 million euros are funded by the European Union (90%).
