Italy: NAWAMED deals with the technical and economic feasibility of unconventional water reuse projects, mainly through nature-based solutions

Next Tuesday, June 21, local public authorities and key stakeholders from Latina Province will participate the 3rd NAWAMED “Water Table”, discussing technical and economic feasibility of projects for the reuse of unconventional water resources (NCWR) and for efficient water management in urban areas.

The online event will be opened by Fabio Zaccarelli, Project Manager of the NAWAMED project, that will present the project's preliminary results that the project is already registering in its implementation regarding innovative measures for the treatment and reuse of rainwater and wastewater at the urban level.

Maria Pietrobelli, Center for Applied Research for Sustainable Development (CRAS srl), technical assistance of Latina Province, will present the objectives of the “Water Table” and the activities planned for the day. 

Paola Reggio, CRAS srl, technical assistance of Latina Province, will present the results of stakeholders' participation in the second “Water Table”.

Nicola Martinuzzi, IRIDRA spa, partner of ENI CBC MED NAWAMED Project, discuss the technical and economic feasibility of water resource management interventions, framing the problem on a national and international scale, and presenting case studies. 

Barbara Sarnari, Svi.Med, partner of ENI CBC MED NAWAMED Project, together with Francesco Giunta will present the process of design, realisation and management of the green wall built at the school in Ferla in which water re-use techniques were implemented. This is one of the pilot projects of the NAWAMED project that demonstrates how great results can be achieved even on a small scale (for more information, read the related article).

The online event, from 15:00 to 17:00 CEST, is in Italian and is open to public authorities and key invited stakeholders.
