Madre Coraje is one of the collaborating entities of the Spanish lead beneficiary of REUSEMED project, Sadeco. Thanks to the participation of this organization, it has been possible to carry out initiatives such as the reused fashion show held in Cordoba last June.  After their participation, those responsible have valued as "an honor" and a "pleasure" to collaborate with REUSEMED, a project that they describe as necessary "and that has to go ahead".

David Belmonte, technical manager of Madre Coraje explains in the following video the actions carried out by his organization and their assessment of their participation in REUSEMED. The last collaboration dates from last June, when they participated in a fashion show of reused fashion promoted by Sadeco, the Spanish lead beneficiary of REUSEMED project, along with other institutions focused on the reuse of textiles such as Humana, Prolibertas, Cáritas or Sonrisa de Lunares.

Madre Coraje puts second-life articles and garments into circulation, promoting the circular economy. At the same time, they generate funds to improve the living conditions of disadvantaged groups by implementing social, educational and cooperation actions in Spain, Peru and Mozambique. They have charity stores and online stores that sell a variety of items and books. They also organize and participate in itinerant street markets in different locations of Spain.

REUSEMED proposes to create municipal networks based on reuse circuits for home appliances, furniture, books, clothes, Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment and food. To set up the networks, 4 cities in Spain, Italy, Jordan and Tunisia will design and test composting installations, food collection points in markets, repair and reuse centers, reuse corners in shops and repairing cafes.
