MED-QUAD in Egypt organises a webinar on the use of ARCHEO living lab for urban revitalization

The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), MED-QUAD partner from Egypt, organizes a local webinar on the Development Perspectives of the Mediterranean Cultural Areas with the Utilization of the ARCHEO Living Lab. The webinar will take place on March 28th, 2022 (15:00-16:30, Egypt time)

Attendees from academia, industry, intellectuals, government officials, developers, and postgraduate students are invited from MED-QUAD project partners and the AASTMT organizer especially, to participate in the webinar.

Participants will receive essential knowledge about the project and the value that their activities are expected to give! The project's partners expect their activities to contribute to local, sustainable development and cooperation between the four key players of innovation: higher education institutions/research centers, the state, businesses and society (local government) as the project is based on the quadruple helix approach.  Particular emphasis will be given to the university's role and the applied research for cultural heritage exploitation - ARCHEO living lab.

The webinar follows one of the Labs goals of taking into consideration the needs of the surrounding local community within the heritage area. It studies enhancing and improving the urban neighbourhoods, particularly heritage areas, all while improving the community’s quality of life and human well-being throughout the lab activities. It explores how areas could be documented and upgraded eventually to present other types of tourists’ attraction points.

The webinar of the MED-QUAD project will work on developing and sharing knowledge of best practices in Urban Revitalization in the industry and participating in jointly activities with professional organizations.
