MED-QUAD in Italy organises an international seminar on the strategies for achieving a local and global sustainable development

The University of L’Aquila and the Municipality of L’Aquila, respectively, project partner and associated partner of MED-QUAD, organise the thematic seminar entitled “The strategies for achieving a local and global sustainable development: the MED-QUAD contribution”. The event will occur on the 2nd and 3rd of March 2023 (09:30-17:00, Italian time) at the Human Studies Department in L’ Aquila. The project and the scientific coordinators will present to the city stakeholders and citizens the MED-QUAD achieved results. Attendees from universities, municipalities, cultural associations, academia, industry, intellectuals, artists and citizens are invited.

Participants expect their activities to contribute to local, sustainable development and cooperation between the four key players of innovation: higher education institutions/research centres, the state, businesses and society (local government) as the project is based on the quadruple helix approach.  Particular emphasis will be given to the activities implemented by the partners and the results contributing to sustainable development of the involved territories.

The thematic seminar illustrates how the project partners consider the needs and expectations of the surrounding local communities within two crucial topics. It will provide a new meaning to sustainable development rooted locally but in a global view focused on the Mediterranean basin.

Those who are interested can download the information package of the International Seminar and register here.

The seminar will also be livestreamed on YouTube (https://www.univaq.it/live)
