After a first phase of support and pre-treatment, the MEDSt@rts project identified 6 women and 9 men who, in the coming months, will develop their business ideas and get up to 10,000 euros of financing.

On 9 April, the Evaluation Committee appointed by Fondazione di Sardegna and the partner SFIRS Spa completed the intermediate selection of young beneficiaries (average age 35) of a path started in Sardinia in February and supported by the development of a transnational network of microfinance actors.

The 15 innovative and sustainable project ideas are concentrated in sectors such as Tourism and Digital and can now be consolidated thanks to an intensive program of specialized training and mentoring.

Funded with 2,547,935.73 euros by the ENI CBC Med Programme, MEDSt@rts foresees the same path in Greece, Tunisia, Palestine and Lebanon. Fondazione di Sardegna is the Lead Beneficiary in partnership with SFIRS and Arab Italian Cooperation Chamber (Italy), Chamber of Achaia (Greece), Sfax Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Tunisia), LEADERS (Palestine) and Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Sidon and South Lebanon (Lebanon).
