MEDSt@rts: the evaluation procedure of the applications submitted by the aspiring entrepreneurs is ongoing

The partners of MEDSt@rts project closed the national calls promoted to select aspiring entrepreneurs in Italy, Greece, Tunisia, Lebanon and Palestine.

Fondazione di Sardegna, SFIRS and Arab Italian Cooperation Chamber (Italy), Chamber of Achaia (Greece), Sfax Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Tunisia), Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Sidon and South Lebanon (Lebanon) and LEADERS International (Palestine) are now evaluating the approximately 240 applications received (overall figure). 

The specific objective of the national calls was to identify and select aspiring entrepreneurs (25 each country) with innovative business ideas in sectors such as digitalisation, agri-food, eco-design, craftsmanship, cultural heritage, tourism, personal services, education, isolation economy ideas, green and social enterprises. 

The applicants are unemployed young people (18-40 years) and companies that have recently started an entrepreneurial activity for a maximum of 4 years, whose partners or owner (in case of sole proprietorship) have an average age between 18-40 years.

Selected candidates will be involved soon in a process based on the following steps

  • training (joint training program of business incubation, web seminars, mentoring service); 
  • field training  to improve skills, abilities and entrepreneurial aptitude;
  • financial advice;
  • financial subsidy for an amount not exceeding € 10,000
