MedTOWN partners met in Tunisia to exchange on co-production of social policies in the Mediterranean

MedTOWN researchers and partners held a presential meeting to discuss the generation of relevant learnings and other important issues.

On Friday June 24th 2022, in the framework of MedRiSSE launching conference celebrated in Tunisia from June 21st to 25th, MedTOWN project organised a parallel programme to take advantage of the researchers and partners' presence in this important event.

It was a great opportunity to build the human ties and relationships that are so important for the success of any project, as well as to address the MedTOWN agenda in order to move towards the expected results in the six countries involved. 

The team met in full day session meeting, discussing the basis for generating relevant learnings at the end of the project, other key questions on M&E Framework for our demonstrative actions and reviewing issues related to concepts like coproduction, action research, social & solidarity economy (SSE), just transition or social innovation.

The contributions made by Samuel Barco on behalf of Diesis Network as research consultant, by MedTOWN partners Tunisian Center for Social Entrepreneurship, Asamblea de Cooperación Por la Paz (ACPP), الإغاثة الزراعية الفلسطينية PARCJohud الصندوق الأردني الهاشمي للتنمية البشرية , Junta de Freguesia de Campolide, Palestinian Hydrology Group (PHG), Govern de les Illes Balears, EPEKSA and Tier1 Technologies were son fruitful for all, and also the inputs brought by MedRiSSE partners  جامعة النجاح الوطنية - An-Najah National University and Oxfam.

This all-day event was as an initial face-to-face contact between them all to be followed by subsequent virtual working meetings.
