MedTOWN in Spain organises a debate on co-production of social policies in the context of Next Generation EU Funds
MedTOWN project will hold a round table in Spain organised by Asamblea de Cooperación por la Paz (ACPP), lead beneficiary of the project to promote debate with stakeholders and interested public on ‘Co-production of social policies: promoting social innovation & the solidarity economy in the context of Next Generation EU Funds’.
The event will take place in the city of Seville on Tuesday 7th November, based on a fluid debate established among participants and with the people attending. Speakers will have the opportunity to share ideas with a diverse audience of practitioners and stakeholders, contributing to the collective knowledge and understanding of social innovation and social and solidarity economy, their impact in Mediterranean countries, and the importance of considering all these issues when deciding on the specific use of Next Generation EU Funds.
The aim is to create the debate from different perspectives, as NGOs, academia, trade unions and business. Speakers who will open the debate will be:
- José María Ruibérriz de Torres (ACPP focal point for SSE & social innovation, Assembly for Cooperation for Peace)
- Rafael Gómez Gordillo (Universidad Pablo de Olavide, academia)
- Nuria López (Comisiones Obreras - CCOO, trade unions)
- Facilitation: Lola Sanjuán (CKL Comunicaciones Coop)
From their initial approaches, reflection will be encouraged among speakers and attendees, to generate a broader and more nuanced debate, and to draw conclusions within the framework of MedTOWN project and with a view to future initiatives to come.
