MedTOWN's International Seminar on Social Innovation & Inclusion next 26th of January 2022
The Seminar is an opportunity to foster dialogue, exchange opinions, deepen the knowledge and find synergies: next steps towards the community of practice we are trying to create.
Register now! the upcoming MedTOWN project International Seminar on Social Innovation and Inclusion will be held via zoom, hosted by the Greek project partners from EPEKSA in Thessaloniki, on 26th January 2022 from 10.00 am to 12.30 pm Greek time (9.00 to11.30 CET). The Seminar aims to maximize synergies between SSE-focused innovative projects and open the scope to include those who tackle social innovation and inclusion from different points of view. Therefore, focusing on the knowledge acquired by social innovation projects with the capacity to transform the way in which the public administration and SSE entities relate to each other. The main objective is to establish common reference parameters to evaluate the challenges and the limits of social experimentation & to offer a space of critical reflections and debates; while at the same time focusing on the legal framework, to learn from the exchange of the challenges & barriers and ways to overcome them, experienced by different initiatives.
There will be a keynote speech from Mikael Leyi (Solidar & Solidar Foundation), a comparative analisis of the legal-political frameworks promoting Social and Solidarity Economy in the Mediterranean Region, by MUSOL Foundation and two thematic discussion panels about challenges and solutions around two topics:
- How do social innovation models affect public policies at different levels?
- Is experimentation at project level able to change the delivery of public services?

Join MedTOWN's Community of practice webpage for the Seminar to watch the participating projects' videos addressing their main achievements, social & innovation aspects and challenges they are facing, with a special focus on the legal barriers (and, if possible, how to overcome them) and add your own questions or topics that you would like to be addressed/discussed by the speakers.
