[MEDUSA] A Look Back at the MEDUSA project Women on International Women’s Day

Different women have participated this year to celebrate the International Women’s Day, each with her own achievements to promote and encourage one of the main objectives of MEDUSA project: Adventurous tourism.

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, these women encouraged our mission further.

MEDUSA project spotlighted various athlete women on social media, whom at their turn shed light on the richness of activities in the Mediterranean region throughout their adventurous activities and utter engagement. Additionally, the impact of the project on one of the beneficiaries was highlighted on social media as part of the campaign launched by ENI CBC Med team.

In addition, the project did not halt here; all the way to the captivating Tunisian landscape, another environmental activist woman - Essia Quezzi- project officer for MEDUSA at WWF North Africa was met with our appreciation on international women’s day throughout intervening with Radio Jeunes Tunisie and calling attention to her notable environmental effort.

JITOA team in Jordan participated as speakers in the GIZ MSME project in Jordan alongside various coordinators (DMO’s, Ministry of tourism and environment, municipalities...) to shed the light on the cooperation with GIZ in 2020 in the destination management training. The project manager Lina Khaled discussed the COVID-19 effect as a project and business association.

Finally, let us shed the light of appreciation on all women today, and make 2021 a better year for each one of them
