MEDWAYCAP second Innovation Camp in Jordan: Challenge-driven cooperation as a powerful way to ensure cross-border dialogue and awareness-raising at regional/national level.

The National Agricultural Research Center - Narc (Jordan) in collaboration with the International Center for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies - Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Bari - CIHEAM Bari (Italy) with the support of the Euro-Mediterranean Center for Sustainable Development - SVI.MED (Italy), partners of MEDWAYCAP, are organising the second Mediterranean Innovation Camp on 9 and 10 May, 2023 at Ayass hotel in Amman.

With the involvement of the MEDWAYCAP partners and associates, as well as the partners of the capitalised projects and local stakeholders such as the University of Jordan and the Ministry of Water and Irrigation (MoWI), the main objective is to follow up on what has already been achieved in Tunisia during the first Innovation Camp and to go further in order to achieve tangible results for the valorisation of Non-Conventional Water Resources (NCWR).

Indeed, capitalising on the results of the first Innovation Camp edition, the Jordan edition will be organised in three parallel working sessions, each addressing a specific challenge:

Challenge 1: NCWR Technology and Innovation - How to mainstream policies and enable upscaling within the market orientation paradigm?

Challenge 2: Financing and Investments - What instruments to use in a circular economy framework?

Challenge 3: Mediterranean Alliance - How to structure the pathway for a long-term capitalization strategy at Mediterranean level?

The Innovation Camp is part of an International joint event organized with MENAWARA project that includes MENAWARA International roundtable to be held and MEDWAYCAP exhibition to be inaugurated on May 7 at NARC premises.
