Algeria adheres to the ENI CBC Med Programme
The Managing Authority is pleased to announce that Algeria has officially joined the ENI CBC Med Programme which now counts fourteen participating countries.
The areas of Algeria which are eligible under the Programme are: Tlemcen, Ain Temouchent, Oran, Mostaganem, Chlef, Tipaza, Alger, Boumerdes, Tizi Ouzou, Bejaia, Jijel, Skikda, Annaba, El Tarf.
First call for proposals: 41 projects approved for funding
The selected projects aim to foster long-lasting cooperation and joint development across borders in response to key economic, social and environmental challenges in the Euro-Mediterranean area.
During its last meeting which took place for the very first time in Cairo (Egypt) on 29-30 January 2019, the Joint Monitoring Committee (decision-making body of the ENI CBC Med Programme composed of the representatives of 13 participating countries) approved a list of 41 projects recommended for funding by the Projects Selection Committee.

On the 4th of December in Algiers, Ministers of 10 Western Mediterranean countries, at the presence of the European Commission and the Union for the Mediterranean, adopted a declaration to strengthen maritime regional cooperation under the WestMED initiative.
