Last Wednesday -October 20th, 2021- the National Research Council (CNR), PPI4MED's Italian partner, participated in the XII edition of the Borsa della Ricerca, where it presented the PPI4MED project, the Italian Living Lab on Innovation procurement and the main technologies developed by CNR in key sectors of PPI4MED: climate change, environment and waste treatment, water management, energy transition, health and ICT.

“Borsa della Ricerca – Where Research turns into Innovation” - represents one of the key events for technology transfer and research in Italy. The event -organised by the Emblema Foundation in collaboration with the University of Salerno and with the support of the Campania Region- is aimed at promoting contacts between science and industry to facilitate technology transfer, funding and exploitation of research results, and favour innovation.

The CNR presented the PPI4MED Living Lab on public procurement of innovation (PPI) of Italy, launched in March, which involves key agents of the public administration and the private sector which aim to search for potential solutions to current needs of the society, based on PPI.
The Forum hosted 60 industries, 30 Universities, CNR and public policy-makers.

Within the field of public procurement of innovation during the fair, the aspects that aroused most interest among attendees were those related to new models for PPI as well as the opportunity of further collaboration.

The event did not end with the closure of the fair but it represents – for CNR – an important step for further cooperation and for the implementation of PPI4MED project.
