The Instituto de Ciencias del Mar del CSIC (Institute of Marine Sciences) ICM) in Spain held for the first time a day dedicated to the transfer of scientific results, called the ICM Transfer. The meetings took place on 17th February 2022, in a virtual session with the participation of Rosalía Feal, the coordinator of PPI4MED.

This session aimed to bring the Public Procurement Innovation (PPI) instrument closer to the research community of the ICM. At the meeting, details were given about this instrument and how PPI4MED wants to implement it while addressing all the questions that researchers have about this tool.

ICM Transfer is a strategy to promote the transfer of scientific knowledge developed at the ICM-CSIC with the aim of generating an impact on society. This will be done through channels such as collaboration with public and private companies, consultancy, intellectual property, entrepreneurship or with the centre's technological capacity.

The main goal of ICM Transfer is to improve the centre's capacity to respond to society's needs by strengthening collaboration between research, public administration and industry.
