The Delegation of CSIC (Spanish National Research Centre) in Catalonia, held for the first time a webinar centered on Public Procurement Innovation (PPI) and aimed at researchers in Catalonia. The meeting took place on 20th January 2023, in a virtual session, with the participation of Rafael Moreno, part of the PPI4MED team in Spain.

This session aimed to bring the Public Procurement Innovation (PPI) instrument closer to the research community of this region. In the session, the PPI4MED Spanish team presented, for some researchers for the first time, the PPI instrument, its foundations, and status, as well as the experience gained by CSIC through the PPI4MED project implementation. The PPI4MED team also addressed all the questions that researchers have about this instrument and how to implement it in their research.

The main goal of the session was to present the instrument to researchers, but also let them know that PPI is currently an important part of the transfer and commercialization roadmap in CSIC. The aim was to invite all researchers to use this instrument of commercialization and be interested in PPI4MED, as well as encourage their technology and research to be part of the Living Lab.
