The National Agency for the Promotion of Scientific Research, Tunisian partner of PPI4MED, has organised the Research and Innovation Fair on 9 and 10 March 2023 in the scientific city of Tunis.

The aim of this event was to develop, promote and commercialise the research results of the various Tunisian research centres and laboratories, and to strengthen the links between the public sector, research, industry and the private sector with all its components.

This event has been organised to celebrate and support Tunisian innovation in the Energy, Water and Food Security sectors, to establish alliances and matchmaking with socio-economic partners, and to reinforce the Tunisian and cross-border Living Lab.

During this event, visitors had the opportunity to attend workshops for in-depth discussions on the energy, water and food security sectors, round tables with decision-makers and heads of nationally and internationally recognised structures to discuss possible partnership and alliance opportunities, and networking and matching sessions.

It was also possible to visit the stands for Tunisian laboratories and research centres, public institutions and start-ups, benefit from support until the creation of a start-up or the presentation of a new patent on a national or international scale or take advantage of the exhibition of partnership projects.

On the second day, a conference on the public innovation market as a strategic instrument for the valorisation of scientific research and the facilitation of technology transfer between university/industry was held and animated by the National Agency for the Promotion of Scientific Research as an interface structure and partner of the PPI4MED project.

The fair was rated very positively by all the agents who participated.
