RESET presents IrWise: empowering farmers to produce more food with less water in Tunisia

IrWise is an agriculture technology startup in Tunisia that provides an innovative solution for managing water resources in the agricultural sector. With a mission is to help farmers optimize their water usage, reduce waste, and increase crop yields, Mohamed Mekki Maalej, the founder of IrWise spoke in a recent interview on the importance of green technology in the region and the impact of SwitchMed, The Switchers and RESET on the final product offered by his startup. 

"This application comes as a result of the persistent drought not only in Tunis but around the Mediterranean" "The programs helped us tremendously in the development of our solution, so we can bring better solutions to the smart agriculture and farmers in Tunis". 

IrWise offeres an array of services including, real Time monitoring of water consumption, remote control of irrigation systems, personalized recommendations to farmers based on the data collected, water resource management, data analysis and other green-agri technology features. 

The WeMed Award is a part of the RESET an EU funded project under the ENI CBC MED Programme.
