REUSEMED shares its experience in promoting recuse circuits in 4 Mediterranean cities

Farah Dawoud, from the Ministry of Local Administration of Jordan (MOLA) represented REUSEMED project at the final event of Med4Waste and WES-Med held in Sardinia, Italy on 24th October 2023. She shared the project´s achievements with those present in the event, including policy makers, local authorities, the private sector, NGOs and researchers from the South Mediterranean region.

She participated as a keynote speaker in a session entitled "Mediterranean good practices", during which case studies to replicate on decentralized organic waste management" where explained. Thus, she showcased the main achievements and results of the REUSEMED project such as the sustainable operation of the Compost Reuse Circuit in Deir Alaa, north of Jordan. 

She gave a comprehensive presentation summarizing the concept, objectives, total budget, duration, partners, main achievements and results at a partner level. And particularly she highlighted the Jordanian example. 

She reflected two keypoints. Firstly, all REUSEMED partners have made tremendous efforts to achieve fabulous results in order to promote a culture of reuse. Secondly, the concept of the reuse and training circuit were implemented successfully.

Indeed, this event was a unique opportunity to share the experience of the REUSEMED project.
