SEACAP 4 SDG presents the call for Mediterraneanmunicipalities interested in receive free support for the energy refurbishment buildings

On Thursday 7 th July 2022, the Royal Scientific Society, Jordanian partner of the SEACAP 4 SDG project, hosted in Aqaba the Information seminar on the Call for interest to the attention of potential Municipalities, with the participation of Jordanian Municipalities and selected support providers.


The aim of the event, joined also online by more than 50 participants, was the official presentation of the Call for Interest dedicated to Municipalities and Local Authorities interested in receiving technical support for the implementation of innovative solutions and tools for the energy refurbishment of education and health buildings in the Mediterranean area.

Through the support of external entities and specific training sessions on a toolkit of selected outcomes, the Municipalities will identify and analyse the actions needed to boost the execution of long-term energy plans.


After the general presentation of the selection process, representatives from Irbid and Karak municipalities, as well as the mayor of Tafilah municipality, presented their experience and best practices in the field of energy efficiency of buildings, thanks to the involvement in other EU projects.


The final part of the seminar was dedicated to the presentation of the first three outcomes from Northern shore (EDUFOOTPRINT Plus project – Interreg MED Programme), Maghreb (MED-ECOSURE project – ENI CBCMED Programme) and Mashrek (BEEP project).
