The objective of the SME4SMARTCITIES call for sub-grants is to support the best smart cities solutions raised from the knowledge improvement and the SMEs capacitation process developed during the training programme and co-creation, co-innovation and cooperation supporting programme; helping project SMEs and cities in testing its implementation, monitoring its results and launching it into the market.

SMEs participating in the activities of WP4 (SMEs selection and training) and WP5 (Co-creation and co-innovation for Smart Solutions) previously selected in the Concept Note Step of the Call for Sub-grants

The aim is to allocate 1 sub-grant per pilot, with 1 or 2 pilots per partner territory being expected.
- Actions to be carried out with the sub-grants

The sub-grant call will support the development of Smart City solutions lead by SMEs to the challenges faced by Mediterranean cities identified within the project. The call will support the solution development in all stages (from concept development to market testing) as well as support the successful ones in their entry in the smart cities market (supporting SMEs in their internationalization activities).
