Steps forward of the FruitFlyNet-ii project in the fight against against pests

The 3rd Consortium Meeting of the FruitFlyNet-ii project was held at the premises of the Olive Tree Institute partner in the city of Sfax, Tunisia, on 16th and 18th of May 2023. During the last day a field-training course was held in the MedFlyNet site of the Regional Research Center of Horticulture and Organic Farm partner. Around 30 members participated in the event from the following six partners:

-BEN: Agricultural University of Athens, Greece

-PP1: University of Cordoba, Spain

-PP2: University of Molise, Italy

-PP3: Lebanese Agricultural Reseach Institute, Lebanon

-PP4: Olive Tree Institute, Tunisia

-PP5: Regional Research Center of Horticulture and Organic Farming, Tunisia

The meting was a successful event, highlighting the dedication, expertise, and collaborative spirit of all partners. The event witnessed fruitful discussions, leading to crucial decisions about the developments during the second cultivation period of the project, as well as on the next steps to be followed on the advances on e-traps and e-services Living Labs. The consortium members showed their interest to the innovative concept of the project e-traps and the sustainable agricultural practices.
