Sustainable MED Cities outlines the role of cities in the energy balance during the 13th South East Europe Energy Dialogue

Costas Balaras from NOA (partner of the project) was an invited Keynote Speaker in Session VIII: The Green Agenda and Decarbonization Challenges in South-East Europe during the 13th SE Europe Energy Dialogue “Energy Security, Market Integration and Sustainability in SE Europe”, Thessaloniki, June 16-17, 2022 organized by the Institute of Energy for South-East Europe (IENE).

The presentation covered the different facets of decarbonization challenges and focused on the role of buildings-cities in the energy balance and emissions as key elements of sustainability. In addition, provided a brief overview of the CESBA MED method, tools and various existing instruments that can be used by local governments and other professionals as an introduction to Sustainable Med Cities and the ongoing work.
