The Escola Europea – Intermodal Transport, TECHLOG project partner in Spain, has participated in the Catalan Internationalization Week, which took place between the 17th and the 19th of October of 2022. The event itself sought to address the disruptions that have occurred in the field of international trade following the Covid-19 pandemic and the start of the war in Ukraine. The disruption of supply chains, the increase in the cost of energy or geopolitical tensions have put the vulnerabilities of the current globalization model on the table.

During the Internationalization Week, participants sought to look for answers and the reasons for the new global context: Are we in a new globalization? Will all these phenomena change the world as we know it now? Are these temporary disruptions or is it the beginning of a new world order? How should companies prepare to continue looking for business opportunities in the world?

The Escola Europea also participated in the Marketplace of the Week – a part of the event where speakers could present their projects and innovative endeavors, as well as present new business opportunities to visitors.  At the Marketplace of the week, TECHLOG partners addressed the specific issue that most Mediterranean sectors experience in terms of weak links between research, development, and education, on the one hand, and the real economy, on the other, and highlighted the project's goals and expected achievements toward addressing those challenges and improving relationships between academia and the (trans)port industry, particularly the transport inside port regions.

Partners also emphasized that in order to achieve universal quality standards for specialized professionals working in ports and transportation, TECHLOG will specifically support cooperative Technology Transfer Initiatives (TTI) and will establish a Mediterranean Open Lab to advertise and disseminate those efforts throughout the (trans)port communities.

The face-to-face blog was designed as the most dynamic part of Week, with twenty different speakers sharing and with an innovative Live Shopping workshop.
